Proximity

Proximity changes perspective
Adding dimensions by subtracting
From the peripheral

Overfocusing
Creates a distorted
And not always worse view

Sometimes
The cracks in the wall
Reveal more than they distract
After years of disrepair

Sunlight, air, pollution and rain
All working together
Developing
A gradually
Created
Pattern

If not by design
Then by random appreciation
For the multitude of layers
A wall uses
To conceal and thusly protect itself

The beauty underneath
Can emerge conceived by thought
Or randomly asserted to be
The beauty above
